It is unfortunate that people actually think of Zanmai as a good sushi restaurant. It is the Howard Johnson's or Denny's of sushi. The people who eat there are rich students and post grads or drop outs who dine on their parents money. Ever notice that there are hardly any Asian persons who dine here, and it is not a destination for those who travel to Colorado from the Orient and Asia. Sorry, but I ate at this restaurant a few times starting the day it opened, tried it in 1995, it is drech. Takah Sushi in Aspen is OK, not great. Sushi Tora was/is the best sushi between both coasts, but only if you became friendly with the chef's. -- 1/13/2003 12:08:16 PM
